Rely

Did you ever stop to just think about that—that God loves you? The Bible promises so. Not only that, but it is so certain of this, that we can *rely* on it. We can depend on the fact that God loves us.
So why is this important? Because of this: no one who honestly loves someone would do anything to hurt them. On earth, we make mistakes and sometimes do that which we regret later. But God doesn’t make mistakes. He won’t mess up and hurt you. He promises to take care of us and protect us with His life and blood.
So why do we worry? Oh, what am I talking about—why *don’t* we worry? But really, what reason justifies our worry? Who of us, by worrying, can add another hour to our life? What does it do besides stress us out and turn us into nervous wrecks? Who can add another hour to their life by worrying? Nobody.
It all comes back to faith. Faith that God is who He says He is. Faith that God loves you. Faith that He will not harm you. “We must rely on the love God has for us.”
Some of you going through hard times may find it hard to believe that God loves you and will protect you. But that’s another entry. For now you just have to believe the Bible. Believe that God loves you. *Know* that God loves you and put your faith in that. *Rely* on the love God has for you. It will carry you through the hardest times of your life.
“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.” ~ I John 4:16
