Resolve

And finally, my last post on Warriors In Training. I hope I’ve sparked inspiration to go out and start living each day for God. There is one last key quality of Warriors In Training I’d like to touch on before we’re finished, though. That is the trait of courageous resolve.

Although you may have the three previous qualities, they mean little—as do they all—with one missing. You may have the faith to move mountains, but without the resolve to live for Christ, it will do little good. You may have a PhD in Bible Memorization, but without the resolve to use it for God, it will do little good. Resolve is just as important as the three previous traits.

Take note how I do not merely say “resolve”, though. I said “courageous resolve.” We must not merely have “resolve” to further God’s kingdom. We should be on fire for our Saviour, having ardent and courageous resolve to bring Him glory, regardless of our circumstances or those around us. No matter what might happen, we will live for God and take a stand for what is right.

Look at the news. All around us are signs of the end times. (I won’t go into detail; that would take up far too much time. Perhaps later.) Satan knows this and is going to be working extra hard during these last years/months/days to bring us down. We will be under especially heavy fire. But we must carry this to completion! What soldier gives up when the enemy attacks? Or does the Warrior fight back even harder, knowing the victory is near? No, he fights even harder! The time is soon coming—or perhaps is here already—that you will be faced with a choice: to fight, or to flee. Which will it be?

Learn to be a competent warrior, so when your time comes you may stand your ground! Surrender your will to God’s so you can perform His work! Cultivate a stalwart faith through these trials. And keep courageous resolve to finish your life for God’s glory—regardless of any opposition!

“Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.” ~ Ephesians 6:13, NAS
