All Things
All things. Let me ask you something: what does “all things” not include? What circumstances are outside of “all things”? Because the Apostle Paul writes of a very important promise in the 8th chapter of Romans, pertaining to “all things”.
Life daily throws many twists into your perfect schedule. Sometimes we think “if life would only go as I’d planned, everything would be alright!” But we are missing two details when we say this.
The first is that we are not in charge of our lives anymore. When we came to Christ, we gave up our lives and our wills to Him. Taking matters into our own hands only causes unnecessary pain and heartache. God knows what’s best for you, but cannot guide you in those paths if you refuse to be led.
The second things we miss is even more important. God already has your life all planned out! This may not seem to exciting at first, but that’s when Romans 8 comes back into the picture. God not only has your life all mapped out—from where you were born, to where you’ll go to school, to who you’ll marry—but He will also protect you and work out al the kinks that satan throws into your day. The devil tries hard to mess up your life, but God will always correct it and align it to His will, if you let Him. So whatever your circumstances are at this very moment, rest in the peace that God will work ALL THINGS out for your good and His glory!
“We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him. They are the people he called, because that was his plan.” ~ Romans 8:28, NCV
